This is the second time that Dutch cinematography is presented in the international and local audience in Serbia in the last 10 year period.
One of the most famous Dutch director, Jos Stelling, mostly known for his film results and cooperation with Eastern Europe, will be a special guest on the festival. His last successful film “Duska” will be the first film of the series of the Dutch selection to be presented and will be followed up with Q&A session. The interest of Mr. Jos Stelling in Eastern and South Eastern Europe is immense. Biggest part of his film opus is connected to Ukraine, Poland, Russia etc, and now days is turning to the Balkan countries. There is even a film theatre in Odessa named by Jos Stelling.
Nis as first destination was the main promoter of the program but also will support the promotion of the program for the other cities. On the other venue Presevo and Belgrade one representative of the Dutch partner organization will be present. Presevo is important destination for the Festival, because of connection of the South Serbia Region (dominantly settled with Albanian ethnic group), with cultural initiatives that happen in other Country Regions, especially with big centers, like Nis and Belgrade. The films will be screened with the double subtitle Serbian and Albanian.
