Human rights, tolerance, and the meaning of diversity were the themes of a discussion taking place at the Peta Beogradska Gimnazija on Friday 19 March. State Secretary for Human and Minority Rights Marko Karadzic and Netherlands Ambassador to Serbia Ron van Dartel spoke with pupils of the school in the framework of their participation in a new project titled "Peer Education Training for Promotion of Tolerance and Cooperation".

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ron van Dartel, will pay a two-day visit to Kragujevac and Bujanovac on 28th and 29th January.
In Kragujevac, Ambassador van Dartel will sign an agreement with Mayor Stevanovic for the set-up of a Youth Office, which the Netherlands will be co-funding for one year in cooperation with the ministry of Youth and Sports.

During his official visit to Serbia on 16 December 2009 Minister Verhagen participated in a debate with some fifty young people on Serbia’s future in the EU. The participants were a mixed group of students, scientists, young professionals, actors and activists, who shared a willingness to question Verhagen on his views on their country. The televised debate took place in the Dutch-sponsored European Center for Culture and Debate “Grad” in Belgrade.
