Notarial Acts
Authority to draw up notarial acts granting power of
attorney
All heads of Dutch embassies and consulates are authorised to
draw up notarial acts granting power of attorney, provided the
requesting party is a Dutch national living in the area served by
the mission.
Authority to act as a notary
A limited number of Dutch missions are authorised to perform
notarial functions, such as drawing up wills, cohabitation
agreements, affidavits of paternity and marriage contracts. You can
take advantage of these services if you live in the area served by
the mission.
For most notarial acts, you are expected to submit a draft
version to the relevant Dutch mission via a notary in the
Netherlands. For more information, please contact the mission in
question.
